Board Members of the Month: MarketingEDGE 2012 was the first event of its kind for AMA Houston. With over 10 national speakers, nearly 200 attendees, numerous partners and sponsors, MarketingEDGE was a great success. Organizing an event like MarketingEDGE was no easy task. Two very special board members were up for the task and far exceeded our expectations. They created an entirely new event for AMA Houston and in turn, set our chapter in a new and exciting direction. They gave the Houston marketing community something new. We are so proud, not only of the work they did, but how they enhanced and grew our chapter by leaps and bounds. Congratulations to Maggie Joplin of the Houston Technology Center and Colin Hageney of Bullpen Marketing.
Volunteer of the Month: We would like to recognize a special volunteer that really went above and beyond. Board Members of the Month: As Vice President of Sponsorship for AMA Houston, Susan Farrell has reinvented our sponsorship packages for the 2011-12 fiscal year, making it possible for AMA Houston to do more for its members, while enhancing overall value for our cash sponsors and underwriters. Most recently, Susan has been instrumental in securing sponsors for MarketingEdge 2012 – the Chapter’s first ever full-day marketing conference. Creating a unique value proposition for our MarketingEdge sponsors, Susan was able to surpass sponsorship goals for the event, enabling the Chapter to bring in several national keynote and track speakers.
