March Event Photos Posted

Check out these photos from our recent events in March

  • The very “social” all-day event featuring a panel on Personal Branding, “Speed Networking” and Social Media workshop with Dave Evans, hosted by the Energy Marketing SIG and Interactive Marketing SIG
  • The Professional Development for Marketers SIG on “Reductions In Workforce: How To Manage Your Career Before and After Job Elimination”
  • The luncheon featuring the Houston Pavilions
  • Marketer of the Year at the Alley Theatre. Almost 300 people were in attendance that night!

Congratulations to Jim Flint, Matt Ross and Gary Carson

At the March luncheon, we announced the following honors for February:

  • Board Members of the Month: Matt Ross, Ventures Marketing Group and Gary Carson, Equamark
Matt and Gary co-chaired the highly successful “Marketer of the Year” event
  • Volunteer of the Month: Jim Flint
Jim has been a diligent volunteer for the Energy Marketing SIG, and recently you would have seen him volunteering at the recent Social Media workshop event.

Thanks to you both and to all of our volunteers for your help!

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, 2008 Marketer of the Year!

Congratulations to Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, who was announced as the 2008 AMA Houston Marketer of the Year last night to a large crowd of approximately 300 professional marketers at the Alley Theatre.

There was lots of socializing and celebrating with the top marketers in Houston. From the 175 nominees, the 33 Best of Category winners were there for the awards. We also want to recognize the top 5 finalists for the overall Marketer of the Year award, and they were (in no particular order):

  • CenterPoint Energy
  • Greater Houston Partnership
  • Kelsey-Seybold Clinic
  • MD Anderson Cancer Center
  • Weatherford International

If you attended, we want to hear from you! How was the event, and what would you like to say to the marketing community?

FYI, we’ll let you all know as soon as the photos are posted from last night, so be on the lookout for further communications from us.

Thoughts on “Marketing Healthcare under a New Administration”

Richard Laurence Baron blogged about the recent AMA Houston Healthcare Marketing SIG event:

The four speakers who addressed “Marketing Healthcare under a New Administration” were effective and humorous. Passionate. Completely engaged with almost 100 attendees. Each one lit up a different facet of the American healthcare system in crisis.
