At the February luncheon, we announced the following honors for January:
- Board Member of the Month: Becca Castillo, Clearpoint Creative
Becca is co-chair of the Healthcare Marketing SIG this year, and is training to take on the Director for Special Interest Groups role for next year.
- Volunteer of the Month: Winnie Hart, The H Agency
Winnie has been a gracious volunteer in several areas, namely Healthcare Marketing and Membership.

In the new February 15th issue of Marketing News, local AMA Houston member Liz Selig is featured on page 5. Among Liz’s current achievements, the article profiles her background as well as how her past board position prepared her for a new marketing role at the University of Houston. In reference to her role as past Collegiate Relations Chair:
“It was one of the most rewarding experiences for me and my career, even though it wasn’t a paying position,” Selig says of the AMA chapter board post. “I’ll have a much better understanding of the university in terms of the student side of marketing.”
Liz, congratulations on the new role and the story feature. It’s a great profile, and we wish you well in your new tole.
