American Marketing Association Hosts January Events

HOUSTON, TX (January 2010): The American Marketing Association is hosting a number of upcoming interactive events that promise to engage audience members.
On January 8, AMA Houston’s B2B Marketing Special Interest Group (SIG) will feature a panel of leading B2B experts including Deborah Roth Grabein, Director of Marketing for Andrews Kurth; Steve Sievert, Senior Vice President of Communications & Marketing for Pulse; and Curt Tueffert, Vice President of Sales for DXP Enterprises. The topic, “Marketing You Can Trust! Tried and true B2B marketing strategies that work in this economy and beyond,” will include discussions on effective word-of-mouth marketing, social media, PR tactics and integrated marketing campaigns that prove successful in both retaining clients and gaining new ones. The lively luncheon discussion on “Battle of the Budgets: Bridging the Gap Between Your CMO and CFO” will explore how marketers can show credibility and value to the finance organization by helping the CFO understand what drives the CMO’s intangible value and how these efforts contribute to the company’s bottom line. Their topic, “Everyone’s Talking About You: Branding Yourself for Business Success” will provide the audience with tools on how to develop your own personal brand, how to distinguish yourself from others and how to communicate your brand through social media networks.
